The short version
We collect what you enter in Calwell and how you use it, so the app can work and improve. Much of it is health data, which we use only to run the app for you, never sell, and never use for ads. You can delete your account in the app at any time.

What we collect
We collect your account information, profile and goals, and health and fitness data such as your food log, diet plans, water, weight, steps and sleep, plus photos or voice you choose to use for logging and any messages you send us. We also collect app usage, subscription status, and device and technical data automatically.
Health data is sensitive, so we process it only with your consent, given when you enter it or connect Apple Health or Health Connect. Meal photos, voice text and text you choose to send are processed by an AI service provider to estimate your meal and are not stored by us.
Why we collect it
We use your data to provide the app under our agreement with you, to process health data and AI meal estimates with your consent, and to understand usage, keep the app secure and prevent abuse under our legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share data with
We don’t sell your data or show ads. We share it only with trusted service providers that help us run the app (such as hosting, AI features, app stores, subscriptions and security), only as needed to provide their service, and under confidentiality and data-protection terms. Apple and Google handle purchases, sign-in and health integrations you choose to use.
Our database is hosted in the European Union, and some providers may process data in other countries under appropriate safeguards. We can give you the current list of providers on request.
Your rights
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, and laws such as the GDPR where they apply, you can ask to access, export, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent. Email aldoodeve@gmail.com from your account’s address and we will reply within 30 days; you can also complain to your data protection authority.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data while you subscribe or until you delete it. If you never subscribe, we stop keeping a server backup after 10 days; if your subscription ends, your progress is deleted 30 days after the paid period. App usage data is kept up to 13 months, unlinked from you if you delete your account.
Children
Calwell is only for people aged 18 or older, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child is using it, contact us and we will delete the account.
Security
We encrypt data in transit and limit access to each account’s own data. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.
Changes to this policy
We will update the date at the top when this policy changes, and tell you in the app before any significant change takes effect.
